Introducing Heidi AI Transcription at Habit Health

Written by Habit Health | Apr 6, 2026, 10:00:00 PM

Heidi is an AI-enabled transcription and clinical documentation tool that supports our clinicians to focus more fully on you during your appointment while assisting them to capture relevant clinical information.

During an appointment, Heidi can create a transcript of the discussion, and your clinician may use this information and the Heidi tool to draft a clinical note. Your clinician is responsible for reviewing and finalizing any clinical documentation saved as some inaccuracies can be recorded by AI.

A finalised clinical note is saved into our client management system once it has been deemed accurate by the clinician.

Do I need to agree to Heidi before it is used during my appointment?

Yes. Heidi is an optional tool used to support our clinicians with clinical documentation.

Your clinician will let you know if they would like to use Heidi and will confirm that you are comfortable with its use before starting it.

You can decline the use of Heidi or ask for it to be stopped at any time. Your decision will be respected and will not affect the care or services you receive from Habit Health.

Does Heidi make clinical decisions?

Heidi assists with transcription and preparation of draft clinical documentation. It does not replace the professional judgement of your clinician, who remains responsible for reviewing and finalising your clinical record and all clinical decisions in your care.

Where is my information stored?

Your final clinical record will continue to be stored in Habit Health’s approved client management system.

Information processed through Heidi is encrypted and securely stored on servers located within Australia. Habit Health has configured information within Heidi to be retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Once your clinician has reviewed and finalised the relevant clinical documentation, the clinical note is transferred to the relevant client management system. Information temporarily retained within Heidi is permanently deleted once information is saved to the client management system or deleted in accordance with our configured retention period.

Are any audio recordings stored?

No. Conversations are processed in real time to create a transcript of the discussion and is not retained by Heidi after processing.

The resulting transcript may be temporarily retained within Heidi in accordance with the retention period outlined above.

Is my information used to train AI?

No. Information from your consultation, including transcripts and generated clinical notes, is not used by Heidi to train its AI models.
